BookTube-A-Thon Wrap Up 2016

I have been majorly avoiding writing this post. Why? Ohhh, umm because I COMPLETELY FAILED ALL OF MY BOOKTUBEATHON GOALS. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

For the first two days of the BookTube-A-Thon, I was kicking ass. But then…..as a reward for how well I was doing…..I decided to have a Harry Potter Marathon with my brother.

And…well…..our one day marathon turned into us marathoning the rest of the Harry Potter movies for the remaining days of the week….

So..yeah….

Let’s talk about what I did during the week!

JULY 18th

I woke up at 10:30.

I read the first 138 pages of The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger and the first 104 pages of Sin City: The Hard Goodbye by Frank Miller.

JULY 19th

I woke up at 11:02.

I finished both The Catcher in the Rye and Sin City: The Hard Goodbye. Then, I wrote a review for The Catcher in the Rye. Which you can find here.

JULY 20th

I woke up at like 1.

My brother and I started our Harry Potter marathon. We watched:

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

JULY 21st

My brother woke me up at noon.

We watched:

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

JULY 22nd

I woke up at 11:40 ish.

My brother and I watched:

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

JULY 23rd

I woke up at noon.

We concluded our Harry Potter Marathon by watching the last two movies.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2.

JULY 24th

I woke up at noon. Then, I went to the movies with my bestie. When I got back, I felt bad about my lack of reading. So, I read 110 pages of Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. I realized that I wasn’t going to finish it by midnight. So, then I watched the movie. Yeah, I know. I watched the movie before I finished the book. *attempts to dodge books being thrown at me*

So, yeah. Not the most successful BookTube-A-Thon.

But, on the bright side. I did actually read 2 and a half books. And I found a way to make said 2 and a half books count towards 6 out of the 7 challenges…..It’s not cheating…..it’s being smart. 😛

Challenges Completed:

Challenge 1: Read a book with yellow on the cover

Book: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Challenge 2: Read a book only after sunset

Book: Sin City: The Hard Goodbye by Frank Miller

Challenge 3: Read a book you discovered through BookTube

Book: Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List

(It said to read the book. Not finish it….)

Challenge 4: Read a book by your favorite author

Book: Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List

(David Levithan is one of my favorite contemporary authors)

Challenge 5: Read a book that is older than you

Book: The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger

Challenge 6: Read and watch a book-to-movie adaptation.

Book/Movie: Naomi and Ely’s No Kiss List

And that concludes my BookTube-A-Thon Wrap Up!

I REALLY hope that you did better then I did.

Was your BookTube-A-Thon successful? Did you stay on track? What books did you read? Which challenges did you complete? Share your Wrap Up with me down below!
