May TBR and #AtoZreadathon

For the first time in a long time, I’m here with a monthly TBR!

I stopped doing monthly TBR’s awhile back. If you’d like to know why, you can click here to read the post I wrote all about it. But, I’ve decided to try reinstating a monthly TBR and I guess we will see how it works out.

I thought that this would be a good month to try doing TBR’s again because I’m participating in the AtoZreadathon!

The AtoZreadathon is a month long readathon in which you try to get through every letter of the alphabet with the books that you read. There are three different difficulty levels in which you can choose to participate.

You can be overly ambitious and try for the hard level. Where the goal is to read 26 books, with each title starting with a different level of the alphabet.

Or you can do the medium level, in which you can read any number of books. You just have to make sure that every letter of the alphabet shows up in the titles.                        (ex. Wildwood would count for letters W, I, L, D and O)

And lastly, the easy level. Where you can read any number of books, ensuring that each letter of the alphabet appears in either the title or the authors name.

(If you’d like to watch the announcement video for this readathon, click here)

So, for the readathon, I’ve decided to go for the medium level. That means that I’ll be trying to get through the entire alphabet with the titles of every book I read.

Not everything I read will be going toward the readathon; there are a few things that I’m just really wanting to pick up. But we’ll see what actually gets read and I’ll hopefully get through the alphabet!

So, let’s get to my TBR for this month!

Image result for tbrFirst on my list is to finish Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. I’m very close to finishing this and I’m still really loving it (I will be doing a review as soon as I’m done).    I will be counting this toward the readathon, and it will be going for letters I, V, N, E, Y, G, R, H and T.

Then, I will FINALLY be picking up…….KINGS CAGE by Victoria Aveyard. I still haven’t read it and it’s my most anticipated release of the year and ugh, I just need it. So I’m really excited to get to it. This will be going for letters K, S, C and A.

After that, I’ll be continuing with the Cirque Du Freak series by Darren Shan. I’ll be starting book 5, Trials of Death. I’ve been reading this series for awhile now and I’m slowly working my way through. This will count towards letters O, L, Q, F, U and D.

Next will be, The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon. I grabbed this the other day because I’m really enjoying Everything, Everything and her writing style (and because I was lucky enough to get a signed copy). I really hope that I enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying Everything, Everything. This book will not be counting toward the readathon.

The last novel on my list for this month is, Zac and Mia by A. J. Betts. I started reading this, I don’t even know how long ago and I put it down and started reading other things and never picked it back up. So, I’m hoping to finish it this month. This one will count towards letters Z and M.

And then, I will be picking up a graphic novel series. My brother has been trying to get me to read the Scott Pilgrim books by Bryan Lee O’Malley because they’re some of his favorites. It’s a six book series but he flew through them and I’m hoping to as well. Two of the books will count for the readathon and they’ll be going for letters P and W.

Lastly, I will be reading some comics. First will be, The Mighty Thor: Vol. 1 No. 413 The Beast Within. And then, X-Factor: Vol. 1 No. 94, Mutant Sacrifice. They both will count toward the readathon and will go for letters X and B.

The only letter that I could  not find something for, was J. I looked through every unread book, graphic novel and comic on my shelf and could not find one. The only way I could get through all the letters was to change the difficulty to easy and I really don’t want to do that. I’m hoping that I’ll be able to pick something up throughout the month that will count. But, sadly, as it stands, that letter will be remaining blank.

And that’s everything I’m hoping to read this month!

What are you currently reading? What are you planning on reading this month? Are you planning on participating in the AtoZreadathon? Let me know down below!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you keep visiting!!
